IGBC Hosts World Cup Watch Party

On June 25th, IGBC hosted a FIFA World Cup 2026 Watch Party at the Rathskeller Restaurant in downtown Indianapolis. Located inside the historical Das Deutsche Haus, the group gathered to watch Germany take on Ecuador in the final game of the group stage. Members of IGBC were joined by representatives and board members of the Indiana German Heritage Society.

After going ahead in the second minute courtesy of Leroy Sane, Ecuador equalized minutes later through Nilson Angulo before a Gonzalo Plata goal secured victory for Ecuador. Despite the result, Die Mannschaft ultimately finished top of their group!
