German Deputy Consul General Visits Indiana to Strengthen Business Ties

Deputy Consul General of Germany, Mr. Christopher Fuchs, visited Indiana on March 29 and 30 to strengthen the business ties between Indiana and Germany.

Beginning in Lafayette, Mr. Fuchs met with Purdue faculty to learn more about the University’s Business German and German for Science and Engineering language programs. Mr. Fuchs then visited Evonik to break ground on the company’s new $220 production facility. That evening, Fuchs travelled to Indianapolis to meet with IGBC Members Barnes & Thornburg, Eli Lilly & Company, Fortium Partners, and Index Traub. The next morning, Fuchs met with executives from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, Indy Partnership, and Develop Indy before touring Endress+Hauser’s facility in Greenwood which uses the German-style apprenticeship program: ICATT.
